Effects Of Kinesio Taping And Breathing Exercise To Improve Quality Of Life For Post COVID-19 Patient: A Narrative Review

Covid-19 is a new disease that has become a world pandemic in 2020 untill today. Post covid patients still feel persistent symptoms such as breathlessness, fatigue, and dyspnea even though it has been declared negative from the coronavirus. These persistent symptoms can continue for months and will not gone immediately but can be relieved by various exercises such as breathing exercises. The objective of this narrative review was to assess the effectiveness of kinesio taping and breathing exercise to improve quality of life post COVID-19 patient. Trials were identified by computerised searches of physiotherapy databases, reference lists, and by contacting investigators. Selection criteria were randomised controlled trials of physiotherapy for the improvement quality of life comparing the treatment with either another intervention or no intervention. This study observational in the independent assessed the trials using the PEDro scale. The studies were identified. Interventions used for treatment of patients with kinesio taping and breathing exercise included studies were quality of life. Neither of the two randomised controlled studies showed scientific evidence of a physiotherapeutic approach in comparison with a control group. Both studies described benefits of the interventions. Further a narrative review studies are required to determine the effectiveness of kinesio taping and breathing exercise to improve quality of life for post COVID-19 patient.
