Hypertension in pregnancy (HDK) is one of the main causes of maternal and infant morbidity and mortality throughout the world, including in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the causes and risk factors of hypertension in pregnant women at the Ngesrep Health Center, Semarang, in 2024. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive analytical design, involving 12 pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria. Data were obtained through structured interviews and medical record analysis, then analyzed descriptively to identify the main risk factors. The results showed that all subjects had systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg or diastolic ≥90 mmHg. The main risk factors include extreme age (>35 years), high body mass index, and a previous history of hypertension. The majority of subjects also experienced symptoms such as edema, headache, and epigastric pain. Environmental factors, such as limited access to health services and high stress levels, also contribute to the incidence of hypertension. This study emphasizes the importance of early detection and community-based interventions to prevent complications of hypertension in pregnancy. Recommendations include routine antenatal check-ups, health education, and healthy lifestyle management to reduce the incidence of maternal hypertension. These results are expected to be the basis for developing more effective prevention strategies
